| Getting ready for DRAGONCON 2005! I've been heavily into "escapism" fiction, mainly sci-fi and fantasy, since I was a kid. Most of my family have artistic ability, but most of them have pursued careers/hobbies in which those skills remain underutilized. Even I only get to do the "fun" stuff for a few weeks out of the year. My "mundane" job (the one that pays the bills) does offer a good deal of excitement on occasion. For the most part, I use 3D Studio Max on a PC platform, along with Photoshop and various other software tools to create 3D animations and still graphics for CD-ROM and video. I also do miscellaneous work on the side to supplement my game-purchasing habit. Right now that means that my free time is spent playing Diablo II online (when battle.net isn't too laggy). Well, the folk I work with, my friends and associates are way cool. We are often annoying in the workplace as all creative folks should be, and can be downright dangerous if the right set of golf clubs come into play in the cubicles. Several of us have gotten addicted to Bonsai, and I feel that its influence will creep into some of my work. I'll try to get those pieces into future pieces. Hobbies: Bonsai, tae kwon do, fossil collecting, computer games, art... oh... food. That's it for now! |
